Whew! Missing Rideshare Driver FOUND ALIVE, But in Hospital and ‘Out of It’ According to Friends

Joshua Thiede

*Friends of Joshua Thiede, the Uber/Lyft Rideshare driver who had been missing for a week, are all kinds of relieved after confirming to news outlets that he has been found alive. Two of Thiede’s friends texted CBS Los Angeles with the update, and said he is currently in Good   Samaritan Hospital in downtown L.A., but he is “out of it.”

Thiede’s car had been found on Monday, with no keys inside, in a Permit Only area of Korea town in Los Angeles. An area resident told the media he noticed the car had a parking ticket on it.

Friends believe Thiede was drugged and think he has been at the hospital only for a few days.

According to CBS L.A.  police arrived at the location where Thiede’s car was found around 3:30 Monday afternoon.

“When the alarm was blaring, I looked out. I saw about seven or eight police officers, somewhere in that number, doing an investigation, with a bloodhound in the car. The bloodhound went in. The bloodhound went out. And then the bloodhound walked around a bit,” said witness Ross Stracke.

The car was “a major piece of the puzzle that was missing,” said friend Kevin Young. “I’m sure the LAPD, they’ve towed the car away now. I’m sure they’ll be able get some sort of information from that.”

Good Samaritan Hospital has a privacy policy that prohibits them for revealing any information on the patient right now. There is no information as of yet, on how friends found out where Thiede was.
