*Two women nearing their fortieth birthdays marshal their emotional resources built on their decades-long friendship to help them survive their respective devastating tragedies (a dead child, an abandoning husband) in their lives.

Matt Morillo is the playwright. His previous plays include All Aboard the Marriage Hearse; Angry Young Women in Low-Rise Jeans with High Class Issues; American Soldiers; All American Sex Addict/ Woke AF!; and The Inventor and the Escort. He co-produced The Girl Who Jumped Off the Hollywood Sign in the 2017 Hollywood Fringe. He has also written, produced and directed a number of independent films.
Reena Dutt directs. Locally, she has previously directed shows for Theatre of NOTE, Sacred Fools, Fierce Backbone, 2Cents, The Blank and The Vagrancy. She has also directed a film, 3 Puffs of Gold.
Donna Simone Johnson plays Katy. She received this year?s NAACP Theatre Award for her performance in Broken Fences. Some of her other numerous stage credits include High School Musical (National tour), Kingdom of Earth, Cloud 9, The Lion King, Dog Sees God, Saint Joan, Twelfth Night, much more. You?ve seen her on TV in The Inspectors; Kickin? It and Teachers.
Liesel Kopp portrays Jennifer. Her numerous local stage credits include Arsenic and Old Lace, Frankenstein in Love, Crazyface, View of the Dome, Valparaiso, Midnight Brainwash Revival, Overheard, Twelfth Night, Little Murders, much more. She?s also been on television, both daytime (Days of Our Lives, The Young and the Restless) and primetime (Masters of Sex, Men of a Certain Age, Parenthood).
Katy and Jennifer is a testament to the power of female friendship.
