Heartbreaking Video of Woman Confronting Cheating Boyfriend Goes Viral (Watch)

Cheating boyfriend

*Whew! Videos like the one below (scroll down) which shows a young woman, Kourtney Jorge, and her ex-boyfriend, Leonard Long III, talking through problems of infidelity make some of us happy that we are not currently in a relationship. I mean really, who needs the hassle? But the fact that the video has Twitter buzzing (it immediately went viral, garnering hundreds of thousands of likes and retweets almost immediately) also reveals our innate attraction to other peoples’ drama.

The hashtag #Hurtbae is now official.

The six-minute-44-second video titled, Why They Cheated: Two Exes Confront Each Other About Infidelity,?was done for the website, The Scene, and while the ex-boyfriend remains composed and shows no sense of remorse, the woman is, of course, just the opposite:

…emotional and pitiful looking throughout.

The two are sitting opposite each other as the words on the screen bring the words being spoken in confession by the male read:

“I did everything.”

The woman, obviously a glutton for punishment, asks for further clarification:

“Like what?”

“I had sex with other girls. I did everything.”

The exes speak a bit more animatedly at first; describing how they initially met, and even became best friends. But then the platform for meltdown begins, as Jorge provides details of how she discovered Long’s indiscretions.

“I would go through his phone. I would like see text messages or pictures of girls and I would ask him about it. And sometimes he would lie and say ‘Oh that’s not true’ or ‘You don’t know what you’re talking about,’ and he said like, ‘Oh I’ll stop. And he didn’t.”

Then she talks about a time she found Long with a lover in his room, and he told HER, (Jorge) to leave.

I can feel the anger of so many more experienced women right now. And in an effort to wrap his brain around why a woman would excuse such a thing, Long asks.

“If you would go through such measures (looking through my phone) why wouldn’t you just leave?”

Jorge replies, “I don’t know. I think I was like, stupid.”

Blank stare by Long.

And then she starts the digging. “How many times did you cheat on me?”

WTF? Is she expecting him to give her a NUMBER???

His response, which speaks volumes is, “I don’t know. I wasn’t counting.”

This is obviously too much for her to bear, and she gets up and goes off camera. She obviously went to compose herself, leaving the guy to just sit with his thoughts for a minute.

Upon her return he continues, it had more to do with me just not being able to commit.”

“Why not,” she asks.

“Because, at the time, I didn’t really want to. I think sometimes we’re not really on the same page.”

“Yeah, I think that’s true,” she responds.

Then, as if to attempt to make her feel better. he says, “There’s nothing that you could’ve done differently that could’ve prevented it. I think that you did everything that you needed to do to be a good girlfriend and I was lucky to have someone like you.”

I FEEL A SLOW BRUNO MARS SONG COMING ON!!! How ’bout a little ‘When I Was Your Man’

She says, “I don’t think you’re a bag guy because you cheated. I forgave you.”

“Why?” he asks.

Through tears she responds, “Because you were my friend. But it was hard.”

He reveals, “I think we are in the first stage of moving on.” (She agrees) “I think we’ve really accepted for the first time that its really over.”

“Today I couldn’t see my life without you,” she says, with a resurgence of new energy apparent. “But I feel like you’ve hurt me a lot so. I feel like you abandoned me.”

Where is my damn violin! Better yet, where is my Rihanna CD?

He does apologize.

“I apologize for hurting you and I hope in the future we can remain good friends and I get a chance to see you grow into the woman that you’re becoming.”

I have to be honest. This just does not reek of sincerity to me.

But bless her heart. She attempts to smile with a sense of comeuppance and pride, but unable to fake it for long, she dissolves into tears.

You’ll have to see how this ends in the video below. But some Twitter responses are as tasty as a big bowl of popcorn.

Talk about DRAMA!!!!

At the end of the day, you’ve got to give these two young people props for opening up and talking maturely to The Scene about such a painful topic. My heart goes out to them, this young woman especially.

Even more heartbreaking, baby girl, is the fact that this may only be one in several such heartbreaks. #nothingyoucanthandle
