Methodology
Experts at americancasinoguide.com wanted to find out which American game shows people most wanted to appear on by compiling a seed list of popular game shows from sources such as, Top 50 game-show tv series and The best new game shows.
From this a comprehensive list of 37 game shows was collected and the prize money, type of show, and network for each game show was found on Google.
From this experts used Ahrefs to find search volumes for the popularity of appearing on the game shows using ‘X application’.
A total search volume for each game show was calculated.
The shows were ranked from most to least according to which game show Americans most want to appear on.
In order to determine contestants’ chances of appearing on the show, the number of contestants per episode or series was divided by the search volume for that gameshow and that number was multiplied by 100.
This gives the percent chance of getting on the show.
The data was collected on 30/03/23 and is subject to change.
