Estranged Father of South African-Canadian Entrepreneur Elon Musk Said Impregnating Step-daughter Was ‘God’s Plan’

*The spotlight is on South African billionaire businessman Elon Musk today. Not that he did anything, but as someone rolling in dough, anything that happens with a member of his less famous parent — in this case — has tongues wagging today as news surfaces about his estranged dad; who has fathered a child with his stepdaughter. But that wasn’t so much the news, as was his dad’s reasoning about it. Musk referred to the abhorrent act as, “God’s Plan.”

Can’t you just envision this God right now? Shaking his head and saying, ‘Please take my name out of your mouth on this one.”

Errol Musk, 72, was married to Heidi, the mother of Jana Bezuidenhout, for 18 years prior to divorcing. The couple also had two children together.

Jana was only four when the couple united. But for some ungodly reason (pun intended), Musk told  The Sunday Times of London he never considered Jana to be his stepdaughter.

See, this is the kind of thinking that makes it so hard not to judge.

The father and, er, “stepdaughter” reconnected when he helped her get over a breakup.

Lawd have mercy. My mind (and judgments) are all over the place with that one.

I can only imagine her reaching out to “Dad,” as daughters do, and him taking advantage of the situation. I’m sorry, but that’s what it sounds like to me.

But let’s get to this “God’s Plan” belief.

We were lonely, lost people,? he told The Sunday Times. ?One thing led to another ? you can call it God?s plan or nature?s plan.?

According to PEOPLE, Errol also admitted that he assumed the baby?s father was Bezuidenhout?s ex-boyfriend when she told him that she was pregnant. When she asked for a test, his paternity was proven.

Although the elder Musk does not live with the mother of his 10-month-old son, Elliot Rush, he called the baby an ?exquisite child? and said Bezuidenhout was a ?delightful girl and a wonderful mother.?

“A delightful girl.” Please hold me back.

According to PEOPLE…

When Errol told his daughter Ali, who he believed would be “supportive,? (this man obviously lives on a parallel universe) he told the Daily Mail

“She said I was insane, mentally ill. She told the others and they went berserk,? he explained. ?They think I?m getting senile and should go into an old age home, not have a life full of fun and a tiny baby.?

Dude, I’m all in with them!
